It wasn’t until recently (and upon reaching mid-30s/late-30s) that I started experimenting with color. I figure that it’s NEVER too late and you’re NEVER too old to have some fun with your aesthetic because it’s who YOU are. ColourPop had enough of being called NudiePop, so they have been adding plenty of color into their collections, and thus was born the She’s a Rainbow Palette (made of singles or purchase at $40 for 24 pressed powder shadows AND the palette).
As we are more than 9 months past the year, I have to say I have been keeping up with my New Year’s Resolution of taking care of me AND my skin. Paula’s Choice graciously sent over their Peptide Booster and 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, and it immediately was thrown on my bare face! I have to say I am quite pleased with how I noticed immediate soothing of my skin. My pores are shrinking day-by-day, but I think it will take more time and work. But, as a lady in my late 30’s (ouch, that hurts to say, but still proud of it!), my skin is not too shabby. I am thrilled with it and am glad I started working on anti-aging sooner than later. Shall we speak more about the products sent over by Paula’s Choice?
My August BoxyCharm had this really fun skincare item, so I thought I’d put it to work immediately and report here! I love Barbie – I still have all mine, actually, stored away long ago for my daughter, but I never had the courage to let her play with them because I was afraid that they are now vintage, fragile, and now priceless. In fact, they have become heirloom material, as have their beautiful clothing I have also stored away in a silk drawstring bag made especially for them. That story is for another time, as I am going off on a tangent when this post was meant for the PUR x Barbie Glitterally Pink Brightening Peel-Off Mask. I’m kind of a mask junkie, except I kind of worry about how my sensitive skin will react, but that’s why I like to test them out, as well. This mask is an interesting one because it is Barbie pink and has glitter, too.
Like I said in the L.A. Girl Aloha Vibes Eyeshadow Palette review, they were incredibly difficult to find in my city, but they are still available in select CVS stores, so give it a shot if you are still interested in these palettes. The L.A. Girl Vacay Everyday Eyeshadow Palette appears basic but it is definitely a great way to create glam day/night looks, so it’s something you may want to add to your collection. I was most impressed with the heavy quality of the palette, 16 different shades, and an included mirror for a mere $18. Let’s get right into it, shall we?
