If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that I recently won a $500 (!!!) gift card to Il Makiage, so of course, I am going to share what I hauled (in separate posts) so that you know what you must have and what you can skip (but who are you kidding? You’ll need everything!). Two items I hauled were the the Il Makiage Woke Up Like This Foundation in #105 (Medium Neutral) and the BFF Perfecting Concealer in #8 (Medium Yellow). I did use their foundation finder to give it a go, and I am fairly pleased with how it matched me, but get this, they have a trial also, so you can TRY BEFORE YOU BUY WITH FREE RETURNS AND EXCHANGES! Total game changer!
Ever since I can remember, I never really enjoyed a one-shoulder bag because of the discomfort it caused my shoulders and pinched nerves from the heaviness of the items within. So, as soon as my children were born, I transitioned to a knapsack-style backpack, yet that also started pinching at my nerves in my shoulder. Finally, I was given the opportunity to test out the LuckyFine Ladies Large Capacity Canvas Bag, and this was it! The straps are wide, which give relief to my shoulders and do not dig into the nerves. The pockets are spread out, so that also causes my items to be perfectly dispersed and the weight remains even. I carry lots of items, such as snacks, diapers, wet wipes, and more so I need space AND organization. There are two colors in this style (grey and black) and a price of $29.99. I chose grey personally because I have plenty of black bags and I needed something neutral that fit my taste and wardrobe – I love the color!
The bag is distinguished with its slate grey appearance and chocolate brown accents. There are plenty of zippers in the sturdy canvas bag with space for snacks, cosmetics, and more.
I love how lightweight yet sturdy this bag is, and it will be one of my favorites for travel and more!
It wasn’t until recently (and upon reaching mid-30s/late-30s) that I started experimenting with color. I figure that it’s NEVER too late and you’re NEVER too old to have some fun with your aesthetic because it’s who YOU are. ColourPop had enough of being called NudiePop, so they have been adding plenty of color into their collections, and thus was born the She’s a Rainbow Palette (made of singles or purchase at $40 for 24 pressed powder shadows AND the palette).
As we are more than 9 months past the year, I have to say I have been keeping up with my New Year’s Resolution of taking care of me AND my skin. Paula’s Choice graciously sent over their Peptide Booster and 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, and it immediately was thrown on my bare face! I have to say I am quite pleased with how I noticed immediate soothing of my skin. My pores are shrinking day-by-day, but I think it will take more time and work. But, as a lady in my late 30’s (ouch, that hurts to say, but still proud of it!), my skin is not too shabby. I am thrilled with it and am glad I started working on anti-aging sooner than later. Shall we speak more about the products sent over by Paula’s Choice?
