Beauty Spotlight Team Week of 4/5

The Polish Pickup has opened again, this time for April’s theme of Famous Works of Art Revisited! Jen from Laugh, Love, Contour has KBShimmer’s magnetic nail polish offering on her blog this week. Be sure to check out Wave After Wave to see it both with the magnetic effect and if you were to apply it as a normal polish. It is gorgeous either way!

Lola’s Secret Beauty Blog thinks that Derek Lam 10 Crosby Silent Street might just be the best scent for the spring and summer. It is a light, and fetching, clean floral with an undercurrent of White Musk. It has a decidedly calm and peaceful demeanor that is feminine, elegant and truly lovely.

Prime Beauty is obsessed with the new Charlotte Tilbury Icon Eyeshadow Palette. It’s fun, versatile and like all her products, the Icon Palette has a certain sophistication to it. With her system of Prime, Enhance and Smoke both beginners and seasoned beauty junkies can create all kinds of looks!

Want tips for spring cleaning your makeup collection? Read all about cleaning your beauty items and purging over on The Makeup Obsessed Mom’s blog.

Beauty Info Zone is more than ready for lighter spring makeup. Now that the weather is calling for less coverage and more sunscreen it’s time to switch to CoTZ Face Moisturizer with SPF35. It has what you’ll need for spring and beyond.

Blushing Noir has started posting all about the Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Collection. Start making your lists now – this makeup collection releases on April 14 & is sure to sell out fast!

Pammy Blogs Beauty wants to firm up for Spring! Find out how she likes the Elina Organics Upper Arm Firming Elixir.

Erika at Notes from My Dressing Table bought herself a new Tangle Teezer for Thick and Curly Hair to replace her beloved old faithful Original Tangle Teezer and since they are quite different, she did a fun smackdown between the two to see which one her thick and curly hair likes better. Come see who won!

Allow Shipra of Taneja’s Bride to show you how good it feels to be bad with the ColourPop x Disney Villains Misunderstood Palette.

Allison from Never Say Die Beauty is in lipstick heaven! Her adventure with non-drying matte lipsticks continues with two beauties from Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet Matte Hydrating Lipstick. Plus she has a new shade of the spectacular Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil.

Vamp It Up with the ColourPop x Disney Villains Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette

Remember that time that ColourPop collaborated with Disney to create a dreamy, girly Princess collection? It seems that many people wanted to see them create a Villains collection, so of course, they went and did just that! This collection is beautiful, but I just picked up the Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette for now. Some of the Jelly Much shadows are on my wish list, though (especially Spindle, Just Your Voice, and Wretched!)! Are you ready to dive right in?!

Saving Face with the Wander Beauty Lift Off Rose Gold Purifying and Brightening Peel-Off Mask

If you’re searching for the PERFECT subscription box, let me tell you what I think! I have tried SEVERAL, and my all-time favorite is BOXYCHARM. I have received it for a few months (and I have been actually using the items in the boxes, surprisingly) because they are full-size and stuff I’d actually purchase for myself. But, this post isn’t about my BOXYCHARM subscription, it’s about the LIMITED EDITION Wander Beauty Lift Off Rose Gold Purifying and Brightening Peel-Off Mask. I was super stoked about this product because I have been talking more skincare this year. As I slowly (or as I love to think!) reach the “Over the Hill” status, I have been attempting to slow down the aging of my skin, and with technology and products that have been introduced to the beauty market, these things are indeed possible. Wander Beauty has been a staple of mine these days, and I absolutely adore Divya Gugnani (one of the co-founders) – she is the sweetest and definitely knowledgeable about ingredients that should go into products that we use on our face and body, so it makes it super easy to trust Wander Beauty.

The Pure Spirit: Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette

Let’s be real for a second – I adore purple. I find it one of the most soothing shades EVER, but it can also be a daunting shade since it’s bold and (sometimes) bright. The Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette is definitely a stunner. So, what does an amethyst stand for? Spiritual protection and purification – it is a positive stone that shuts out all negativity. Don’t we all need that in our lives?! Beautiful meaning.

I used the deepest matte eggplant shade in the crease for this #EOTD. The 2nd shade in the top row was used all over the lid. The 2nd shade in the middle row was patted in the center of the lid and inner corner. The 3rd shade in the 1st row was used under the waterline with a hint of the 2nd shade in the middle row towards the inner waterline.

The eyeliner used in the waterline is a mix of ColourPop Stomper and Best O. The eyeliner on the top lash line is ColourPop Crzy.

Lipstick is Jouer Cosmetics Snapdragon.

And, that concludes our Huda Beauty Precious Stones Obsessions Palettes! What would you like to see next?! I have a few palettes I’d love to put to good use, so throw out some ideas for me! And, let me know in the comments if you’d like a round-up of these palettes!
