Wishing everyone a Happy New Year for the year 2021!!
I’m sure we can all agree that 2020 was an INTERESTING year, to say the least. Hope all of you were able to stay out of harm’s way. Wishing health, happiness, and prosperity for all of you!
In 2020, I had shifted MOST of my energy to Instagram to grow, so please follow me along there, as well! I am hoping to write more over here in 2021, so stay tuned!
Let’s start off the year with ColourPop’s last collection of 2020 – the Wine & Only Collection.
This collection includes:
- 9-pan palette, Wine & Only
- 3 Super Shock Cheeks: New Brut Flute, Repromoted Cheerio, and Repromoted Cruel Intentions
- 2 Super Shock Shadows: Repromoted Muse, New Wine Down
- Wine Not? BFF Liquid Liner
- Fourth Ray Beauty Vino Rejuvenating Face Serum
- Sol Body Sangria Body Oil
In this post, we will not be discussing the 2 Super Shock Shadows, the Sol Body Sangria Body Oil, or Cruel Intentions, as I did not pick these up.

Let’s start with the star of the show, the 9-pan Wine & Only pressed powder pallete. One thing we have noticed with ColourPop since they have released pressed powder shadows is that an eyeshadow palette is now the main focus of the collection, and that all the products are usually catered around it. I’m not mad at this at all, as to me, the focus on the face is also the art of eyeshadow, as it is painted on the window to the soul. You can go as soft or as dramatic, as you like, and this really makes it a beautiful focus. However, I do miss the days of simple collections of just lipstick, or just a palette, but there are those some weeks, as ColourPop is now notorious for a drop a week.

The graphics of the packaging has definitely developed and improved since the beginning, and I’m here for that! How gorgeous does this palette look?!

The palette itself is beautiful on the inside. The color story is supposed to be inspired by wine, as you can see, and the names are just perfect. ColourPop always slays with names and their color stories.

The swatches were incredibly pigmented and buttery, and OBVIOUSLY stunning. None of them skipped and I have to say, I have been super impressed by ColourPop’s pressed powder shadows for awhile now. The only one palette that I did not like was the My Little Pony collaboration. Looking back, that is my least used palette. The color story was lovely, and even the shades performed decent, but I find myself gravitating toward deeper, cooler shades and neutrals. I also must say that ColourPop has been continuing to listen to their audience, and continues to give them what they ask for. That is what makes them so successful, in my opinion.
Let’s now move on to the blushes. In 2020, I continued my love affair with eyeshadows, but also dived back into blush and blush palettes, thanks to OPV Beauty Born to Glow palette (I received in the Trendmood Box x Black Owned Beauty). I also fell back into love with lipsticks despite our wearing face masks. I preferred liquid lipsticks and transfer-proof lip products, of course, but I also didn’t shy away from bullet lipsticks and glosses while at home.
The blushes included in this collection are familiar with a sprinkle of new. You may remember Cheerio and Cruel Intentions (which I still haven’t picked up, but need to one day!). I was also super excited for a new Super Shock Cheek, as it is one of my favorites. We got the beautiful shade in Brut Flute.

Another beauty product that got me through 2020 was eyeliner! It was toward the end of 2019 when I started experimenting with eyeliner and mascaras (the colored mascara was short-lived). So, imagine my surprise AND delight when ColourPop continued this trend and included colorful eyeliners throughout the year in their collections. I absolutely love the BFF liquid liners and gel liners that ColourPop puts out, so I had to get my hand on each one. This collection had a BFF liquid liner in a Burgundy shade called Wine Not?

And, finally, we have Fourth Ray Beauty Vino Rejuvenating Face Serum Boost. I really enjoy Fourth Ray Beauty, and I incorporate them in my skin routine daily, especially the Waterfall Toner, Rainfall Hyaluronic Acid 2%, and Good Mood Gel Moisturizer. This smells incredible. It has a fancy grape juice scent that feels lovely on the face. I have used it a couple times, and so far, I really love how it makes my skin feel and look. I will report back if there are any changes.

That concludes the pieces I purchased from the ColourPop Wine & Only Collection. I do believe they have sales going on right now, so check it out!
What is your favorite piece from this collection?
Purchased by me. All opinions are honest and my own.
