A Makeup Lover’s Guide to Galaxy Eyes with the Hard Candy Look Pro Galactic Eyes Palette

Outer space has always been intriguing to me. There’s something about the unsure beyond that is both mysterious and beautiful. I love that makeup has been building on complicated and magical themes lately, and Hard Candy has created an eyeshadow palette that can give you all that on your eyes. I love foiled metallics, and this definitely will give you galaxy eyes of your dreams.

First of all, this palette is ONLY $8. Can you believe that?! $8! And, you’re getting 10 eyeshadows! All the colors are wearable, even with the metallic, foiled finish.

Top row: Supernova, Retrograde, Spaceship, Nebula, Eclipse
Bottom row: Meteor, Blue Moon, Alien, Shooting Star, Constellation

Top to bottom: Supernova, Retrograde, Spaceship, Nebula

Top to bottom: Eclipse, Meteor, Blue Moon, Alien, Shooting Star, Constellation

#EOTD was created by using Blue Moon all over the lid and into the crease, layered over it was Eclipse in the center of the lid, Alien in the inner corner and Retrograde in the outer lid. Lipstick is NYX Luv Out Loud in Fearless

These are a little difficult to work with. I had a hard time using the brush that came with the palette, and it was not a dream using any of the other brushes. The formula is sort of a cream-powder hybrid formula. To be honest, I could not tell what the formula was but it is dry yet slides on like a cream. Also, this palette is a little delicate, so the pans have been sliding around in the palette, so they kind of dent easily, as well, and mix with other colors. In order to create my #EOTD and for the swatches, I did use my fingers. For $8, it’s not really that terrible. And, is a great glitter topper for other eyeshadows you may own. I did enjoy the colors and finish, but was a little sad that they didn’t apply with brushes. But if you use your fingers, you can get the pigmentation you desire. It did not shift on my eyes, no fading of the crease, and no fall out (if you use your fingers) which was promising and lasted until I decided to use a makeup remover.

What do you think of this palette? Do you own it? Only available at Walmart and Walmart.com.
