Although I’m still on a hiatus of sorts because of my newborn, I did want to share one of the recent ColourPop collections. ColourPop collaborated with Sonya Esman, Instagram model and blogger/vlogger and created a beautiful and versatile collection containing 3 pieces with 2 being completely NEW to ColourPop (the Mini Stix set AND the Super Shock Face Duo).
- Gemini by Night Pressed Powder Palette
- Here Comes the Sun Super Shock Face Duo
- Perks of Being a Wildflower Mini Stix to Go
Gemini by Night is a pressed powder palette with matte, shimmer, and metallic shades: Golden Gate Bridge, The Hidden Hills, Manhattan Coffee Run, and Moscow Sunrise. The shades are absolutely lovely and a neutral lovers dream come true. They go together wonderfully and are buttery and pigmented.
Golden Gate Bridge:
The Hidden Hills:
Manhattan Coffee Run:
EOTD was created using Moscow Sunrise on the lid, Manhattan Coffee Run in the crease with a little touch of The Hidden Hills. Brow bone was highlighted using Golden Gate Bridge.
I absolutely ADORE the song “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles, so there was an extra pull from this product for me. This face duo is a Super Shock Face Duo with a perfect peach blush, Matryoshka, and a champagne highlight, Summer Bonfire. This face duo is not to be confused with the Pressed Powder Face Duo, and is JUST as bouncy as you expect! I love this face duo so much because I am a HUGE fan of the Super Shock products. This was formulated not to dry out quickly, and so far, so good! The pigmentation is really awesome, and you’ll be tempted to squish the product, but a light touch will get you plenty of product!
Perks of a Wildflower Mini Stix to Go are super fun because they are multi-use, and you all know how much I love those!! I loved these as a lipstick, but they can absolutely be used as a blush, contour, just about anything! I love the “crayon” tip, but I do have to warn you to NOT use force when applying, as the product is soft and will definitely break. Also, you’re getting half the amount of a full-sized lippie stix. This is the 2nd time I’ve tried the lippie primer, and I have to say I love the way it has been reformulated. It is like applying a matte chapstick. You won’t be able to rub your lips together like you would with a chapstick, but it definitely does give you a great base for a lipstick. I still felt it dried my lips out more than it would have without it, but I wanted to show you the mini stix to go with the primer underneath for reference. Again, the product is soft, so use gently!
