Lipstick is not the only makeup item I go ga-ga for. If you took a peek into my collection (I know you want to!), you’d see that it consists of mostly lipsticks and eyeshadows. To me, these are a great way to add pops of color to the face and get as artistic/editorial, as you wish. I was sent the Laura Mercier Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays Palette Pro by Influenster. This palette is incredible. Let’s take a look at it closely!
There are 6 PIGMENTED shades with a setting powder, especially for the eyeshadow. I feel that the setting powder has a little additional glitter in it, which kind of affects the beautiful, intense matte shades, so I avoided it. Without it, the eyeshadows seemed to still stay on without creasing.
You can see the right half has the setting powder, which adds a little bit of sparkle.
Top to Bottom: Blackened Black Clay (black), Blackened Blue Clay (navy blue), Blackened Brown Clay (dark brown)
Top to Bottom: Metallik Platinum (silver-taupe), Metallik Pewter (grey-blue), Metallik Rust (copper-brown)
And, here’s all the shades again:
L-R: Blackened Black Clay (black), Blackened Blue Clay (navy blue), Blackened Brown Clay (dark brown), Metallik Platinum (silver-taupe), Metallik Pewter (grey-blue), Metallik Rust (copper-brown)
Using some of the shades, I created this eye look. I believe I used the Mettalik Rust with the Blacked Blue Clay in the crease to create this look. As intense as they swatch (what you see above was using ONE swipe of a finger), they blend extremely well. I really love these shades because they are PERFECT for creating smoky eyes of any kind. You can also control the pigmentation you put on the eyes, but you can also blend them out to make them as natural as you want, as well!
What do you think of this palette?

Wow! That’s some intense pigmentation. The colors are so pretty! I kind of wish they also added some transition shades to help make this a complete stand alone palette.

Wow on the pigmentation! I’m such a neutral person, it wouldn’t get much use for me. I wish I could pull of a gorgeous smokey eye like you can! <3 So amazing!

That navy shadow is beautiful! I’m always drawn to blues even though I never wear shadow.

WOW those are pigmented! Super pretty, but I’m sure I’d end up with raccoon eyes 😉 hahaha
