ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tiny Chum & Lock Diary Ultra Satin Lips + Surprise Ultra Metallic Lip Swatches and Review

Are you ready for PART III? When I think of Hello Kitty, I think of her adorable button nose and obviously, her cat ears (although, the rumors are that she’s not really a cat!). Her adorable red bow and outfit also come to mind. So, the 2 Ultra Satin Lips and 1 Ultra Metallic Lip really did justice to Hello Kitty. As you may already know, Sanrio collaborated with ColourPop (and also released 2 additional colors – Mimmy and Milk Bottle – yesterday on December 16th making Ribbon – from the Hello Pretty set – an individual shade, as well) creating this absolutely stinking adorable collection for all ages!

In this post, we shall be discussing:

  • ColourPop Tiny Chum (Ultra Satin Lip)
  • ColourPop Lock Diary (Ultra Satin Lip)
  • ColourPop Surprise (Ultra Metallic Lip)

Tiny Chum is a delightful, soft neutral shade with pink undertones. I wasn’t expecting to like this shade on me, but it will definitely be one of my day-to-day favorites.

Lock Diary is the ultimate pink for me! I’m in love with shades like this. Give me a bright pink for any day, and you’ll have made my day! This definitely classifies as a fuchsia because of its violet undertones.

Surprise is the only Ultra Metallic Lip in this collection, and it’s stunning. I wish they had created a metallic hot pink or even a rose gold, but this definitely takes the cake! It’s quite similar to Let’s Play, so I’m going to compare them below, as well.

And, here’s a look at the two side-by-side:

On the lips, they are practically identical:

Overall, I really LOVED this portion of the collection. They are simply gorgeous and wearable colors. I wore Surprise out during the day and received many compliments on it because of its subtle metallic glow and just being red, in general, especially during the holidays. It’s a terrific shade for anyone! And, each shade from this portion are extremely comfortable and long lasting. They DO transfer, so there’s that, but the are long lasting!

What do you think? Which one makes your wishlist?
