My 4-year-old absolutely adores Mango Panna Cotta (mainly because it’s bouncy), and so I decided to indulge him while also using the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ to boost it up with plenty more protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals for his after school/lunch dessert. And, since it’s such a simple recipe, you too can whip it up for your little ones (or even yourself)!
Mango Panna Cotta
Step 1: Gather your ingredients:
- 1 Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ package (Use one packet of Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ for one serving (or ½ cup of food)
- 3/4 cup sweetened Mango puree
- 2 – 4 oz Cold Milk
- 1 package of Unflavored Gelatin
- Dish of Your Choice
Step 2: Add unflavored gelatin to your bowl of cold milk.
Step 3: In a saucepan, allow your mango puree to simmer. Make sure to not let it boil.
Step 4: Once the mango puree has cooled, add your Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™. Use one packet of Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ for one serving (or ½ cup of food). Stir well until fully incorporated. Gently stir in the gelatin mixture afterwards.
Step 5: (Optional) Using a silicone brush or even a paper towel, apply unflavored oil on the dish to allow for your Mango Panna Cotta to easily pop out of its dish. If you plan to eat right out of the dish, then you do not need to worry about this step.
Step 6: Pour in slowly and gently to ensure that you fill the dish evenly. Pop any bubbles at the top with a toothpick (or gently with a clean fingertip), if needed.
Step 7: Chill in the refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours or until fully set. If you are popping the Panna Cotta out of the dish, once set, use a paring knife to cut around the edges. Place dish in warm water for about 5 seconds, place a plate over the top and flip. If that doesn’t work, continue to place dish in warm water until it comes out. If you are eating out of the dish, ENJOY!
See how my little tests the bounce? I think he approves! And, little does he know his Back-to-School treat is full of things good for him!
