Wet N Wild Beauty Color Icon Matte Liquid Lipsticks Swatches and Review

There’s a chill in the air, and deep, dark lipsticks are coming back in style. I wear them summer or fall, but for those of you who are looking for new liquid lipsticks and “Sweater Weather” shades, there’s some new, affordable liquid lipsticks in town at $2.99 each! Currently there are 4 shades in the long-lasting, velvet-matte finish.

  • Too Tulip To Quit
  • How Fleek Is Your Love
  • Don’t Be a Plum-Plum
  • Take it Like a Vamp

The applicator of the Wet N Wild liquid lipsticks is large, but it is in charge. It has a curved feature, which does help with lining and filling. However, I do wish it were a little sleeker.

Too Tulip to Quit is a mid-tone fuchsia, which is a great transition color into the Autumn. I love this shade all year-round!

How Fleek is Your Love? is a nice, cherry red. The only complaint I have with this one is that it goes on inconsistently and almost sheer. The swatch you see of it is one coat, so you can see it is not as opaque as one would hope, but it’s a nice shade for those who are red lip beginners.

Don’t Be a Plum-Plum is (name cracked me up!) a beautiful, deep plum. I was really thrilled by the opacity since the formula is quite liquidy. It went on quite well!

And, finally, Take it Like a Vamp, a beautiful, rich, blackened purple. It is definitely opaque and evens out quite perfectly!

The formula is thin but has a slight thickness to it, and goes on like a liquid rather than a mousse. It takes about a minute to dry, and then it is completely matte and flat. It transfers slightly, but the last is excellent. I was able to eat with minor wear on Take it Like a Vamp, and I know that most colors of that deep darkness wear horribly in the center of the lip, so I was impressed by the performance of a $2.99 liquid lipstick! I definitely hope they bring out some more beautiful shades!

Which one is YOUR favorite? Were you able to grab these?
