Glaring down, the sun reaches its zenith and we know that we are in our summer solstice. What this means is we trade in our jeans for shorts and boots for peep toes. But there’s nothing like realizing you forgot to shave your legs! So, the best thing to do is wax them using Sally Hansen Wax Strip Kits because this means that the results will last for up to 8 weeks! Along with waxing, my summer (as well as throughout the winter) routine includes improving my circulation and preventing cellulite via my homemade coffee scrub, which is super easy AND fun to make right in the comfort of home!

Dermatologist Tested and Salon Tested, it makes me confident to use Sally Hansen Wax Strip Kits because it assists in the removal of unsightly and unwanted hair leaving my skin silky smooth and zero irritation!

My homemade coffee scrub promotes healthy skin by directing antioxidants to my freshly waxed skin. Since coffee is a diuretic, it also aides with cellulite, which is a bonus for waxed legs and more! Follow these easy steps to make some for yourself and pamper your beautifully waxed skin!

Step 1: In a jar with a clasp lid (or a secure lid), add coconut oil. Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer and has many benefits. You can also trade it in for olive oil or any oil you prefer.

2

Step 2: Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the oil. Filled with antioxidants, as well, cocoa powder also combines beautifully with the coffee grounds to emanate a fabulous scent!

3

Step 3: Add 3 tbsps of coffee grounds – the main ingredient – again, chock full of antioxidants and caffeine.

4

Step 4: Add Pink Himalayan Salt generously because this will serve as the exfoliation along with the grittiness of the coffee grounds.

5

Step 5: Stir the ingredients together and if desired, refrigerate for a more solid texture, or use as is!

  1. Are the coffee grounds used or fresh?

  2. I didnt say how much coconut oil to be used?

  3. Does the coffee grounds/coconut oil clog the sink/ tub drain?

    • I haven’t had issues with this, but it’s a great question since everyone’s drains react differently. I usually keep a bottle of drain cleaner at hand and use it once a month just to keep it clear.
