ColourPop got together with the gorgeous, exotic Karrueche Tran and born from that union was KaePop. The colors of this are wonderful for all skintones, but they definitely do seem to work wonderfully for those with medium and up skintones. I was really excited for that reason for this collection, as Karrueche and I have a similar shade in our skintone. Regardless, without further ado, let me show off the Ultra Matte Liquid Lips and Super Shock Shadows from the KaePop collection!
The Ultra Matte Lips:
– Kae
– Rooch
– Chi
And, the Super Shock Shadows are:
– Crenshaw
– Wilshire
– Sunset Blvd.
– Beverly
Starting with the Super Shock Shadows, they are packaged in beautiful packaging, and contain 4 shades, which you can also purchase separately (which I love! But, I wanted them packaged in one “palette”).
Wilshire is a lovely peachy nude matte eyeshadow.
Sunset Blvd is a peachy nude eyeshadow, as well, but shimmery (or pearlized, to be exact!). This is such a gorgeous lid shade!
Then, there’s Crenshaw, which stole my heart, because as you may know, I love a good brown (described by ColourPop as warm saddle brown) matte eyeshadow to contour my crease.
Last (of the Super Shock Shadows), but certainly and absolutely NOT least, is Beverly, which is described by ColourPop as a deepened blackberry. This shade is a must have. If you don’t want the set, then grab this one for sure!
These shades are incredibly creamy. I am a HUGE fan of ColourPop Super Shock Shadows because they have the best moussey texture but it’s so powdery and blendable. I really enjoy that the most. They are also SO pigmented. And, that makes for a great eye look! So, this is what I did to create my #EOTD.
Lid: Sunset Blvd.
Inner Crease: Crenshaw
Outer Crease: Beverly
Brow Bone: Wilshire
On lips below is Rooch:
Moving along to the Ultra Matte Liquid Lips.
Again, we have Kae, Rooch, and Chi, which ingeniously sound out her name!
Starting off with Kae, of course, is a yellow-toned chocolate brown.
Then, there’s Rooch, an unbelievably velvety brown-toned deep red, or described by ColourPop as a deepened russet wine.
And, finally, Chi, a cool-toned nude beige. This shade is quite flattering as a neutral.
For some reason, I felt that Rooch was the thickest one and applied strangely. But, all in all, the liquid lipsticks were beautiful shades, and I was really thrilled with them. I’m not sure if the applicator has changed, but that may be something to mention. I did not take a picture of the applicator, but when I was applying, I felt like something had changed.
Also, I’m sure I’ll be asked whether or not Kae and Limbo are similar, and if Rooch and LAX are similar, so I wanted to show you the packaging side x side and the swatches.
The other pieces I did not pick up from this collection are the matching lipliners, bronzer, and highlighter.
What do you think? Will you be picking up these?
