To apply makeup, it’s important to have the correct tools just as any masterpiece is created with the proper medium and utensils. I was given the opportunity to test the Beauty Junkees Makeup Brushes, so let’s discuss the following brush sets:
- 5 Piece Large Kabuki Makeup Brush Set with Brush Holder
- pro Series Eye Brush Set with Free Case
- mini 5 Piece Kabuki Makeup Brush Set with Brush Case
- pro Brow Brush
Starting off with the 5 Piece Large Kabuki Makeup Brush Set with Brush Holder (also sold separately), I was really excited about the Brush Holder as it is sturdy and extremely attractive (my husband even gave it a ton of attention). The brushes are ridiculously soft and pick up makeup beautifully and blend just as well. The bristles held up really well and did not shed.
Flat Top Kabuki Brush – Used for foundation
Angled Kabuki Brush – A great brush for blush or contouring
Flat Angled Kabuki Brush – Precision contouring and blending (combines Flat Top with Angled Brush)
Tapered Kabuki Brush – Concealer, tear duct highlighting, and “hard to reach” areas
Round Kabuki Brush – Mineral makeup and powder application
pro Series Eye Brush Set with Free Case (also sold separately), an 8-piece set I was truly excited about, as I really enjoy creating eye looks. The brushes are beautiful, and they also are really soft, which was important to me because I cannot stand prickly bristles on my sensitive eyelid.
pro Pencil – Smudging liners or applying shadow to top or lower lash line
pro Tapered Blending – Applying and blending a transition color base shadow in to crease for a soft finish
pro All Over Shader – Applying eyeshadow to eyelid
pro Precision Eye Liner – Applying eyeliner to top and bottom of eyelid
pro Angled Shading – Highlight brow bone
pro Flat Definer – Used for sharp and precise lines on upper and lower lash lines
pro Blending – Blending harsh lines to create a flawless effect
pro Crease – Applying crease to give a more diffused look
mini 5 Piece Kabuki Makeup Brush Set with Brush Case (also sold separately) is a smaller version of the Kabuki Brushes we saw earlier. These are brushes for precision and delicate enough not to irritate skin in the hard to reach areas.
mini Flat Top Kabuki – Stippling concealer
mini Angled Kabuki – Eye blending brush or foundation blending brush
mini Flat Angled Kabuki – Contouring
mini Tapered Kabuki – Coverage for “hard to reach” areas
mini Round Kabuki – Applying mineral makeup
And, finally, the pro Brow Brush, a new pro brush is a great way to define brows with the angled brush and a spoolie to help groom the brows.
Overall, I found these brushes to be extremely soft and great for makeup application. They are not only designed really well and look fantastic, but they perform just as well. I didn’t experience any shedding, so this made me happy about the brush sets.
