LIMITED EDITION Jem and the Holograms x Sephora Truly Outrageous Liquid Lip Set Swatches and Review

When I was younger, I definitely had a wide range of interests (and still do!), especially when it came to movies and television. I enjoyed Scooby Doo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but I also enjoyed playing with Barbies, and I absolutely adored Jem and the Holograms, and I even had the Jem doll with a wild mane of hair and beautiful glitzy clothes, much like the packaging of the Jem and the Holograms x Sephora Truly Outrageous Liquid Lip Set.

Sephora has come out with this fun collection, which includes this liquid lip set, a lipstick, an eyeshadow palette, and a PurchasedbyMeStickercompact mirror.

My Sephora only currently had the liquid lip set (which is featured in this post today) and the lipstick. I decided to only get the liquid lip set for obvious reasons – my addiction to them runs deep! This set includes 4 mini liquid lipsticks and 1 mini lipgloss that can be topped over the liquid lipsticks (which I will show you).

The LIMITED EDITION set features (Shown L-R below):
– Fashion and Fame lipgloss, iridescent pink pearl
– Like a Dream liquid lipstick, mauve/rosy brown
– Music is Magic liquid lipstick, a hot pink with blue undertones
– To the Rescue, a muted berry burgundy
– She’s Got the Power, an almost true purple

Starting with the lipgloss, Fashion and Fame, an iridescent pink pearl, this shade is absolutely gorgeous on its own or topped off on a liquid lipstick. I will show you how it looks on top of each of the shades in this set. It really adds a beautiful dimension.

Like a Dream is on trend, as it is a marsala/mauve pink shade that is just beautiful!

Then, Like a Dream with Fashion and Fame over it:

Music is Magic is a stunning little number. This hot pink with blue undertones makes it incredibly flattering to wear.

Then topped off with Fashion and Fame, here’s how Music is Magic was transformed:

To the Rescue is a lovely, once-again on trend beauty! A muted (deeper) / muted berry burgundy. This one is classic and definitely flattering!

To the Rescue topped with Fashion and Fame:

And, last but certainly not least, is gorgeous She’s Got the Power, an almost true purple, a beautiful grape shade!

And, finally She’s Got the Power with Fashion and Fame over it:

My favorites were definitely Like a Dream, To the Rescue, and She’s Got the Power, and I loved them just as much with the topper, Fashion and Fame over it, especially She’s Got the Power, which was truly enhanced by it. The quality is similar to the Sephora liquid lipsticks, as is the consistency. The lipgloss, Fashion and Fame has a watermelon scent, but it does evaporate quickly into the air, which is a good thing, as I dislike the artificial watermelon scent/taste. It’s quite similar to the Milani Lipstick watermelon scent, so if you like that, then you’ll love this. The liquid lipsticks don’t have a particular scent at all, like the Sephora liquid lipsticks do (those are vanilla scented). The last is good, and I must mention that it does take some time for these to matte down. Once they do, they are transfer proof, unless, of course, you decide to top it off with the lipgloss, then it will become tacky and come off as you eat and drink.

L-R: Fashion and Fame, Like a Dream, Music is Magic, To the Rescue, and She’s Got the Power
