With Summer around the corner, I’m bringing out the brights and neons! Speaking of neons, Colores de Carol has a beautiful collection called The Beach Boys Collection.
This 8-piece collection contains opaque neons, which do not require a white base. This collection was “inspired by the band of the same name. It is a tribute to a different time in american pop culture. The time of superballs, smiley faces, and sunny surfin.”
Good Vibrations – Highlighter Yellow
Surfin’ USA – Hot Pink with Orange Undertone
California Girl – Hot Pink with Blue Undertone
Sail On Sailor – Bright Blue
Do You Wanna Dance? – Neon Yellow-Orange
I Get Around – Neon Lime Green
Fun Fun Fun – Neon Purple with Pink Undertone
All Summer Long – Neon Orange with Red Undertone
Good Vibrations, highlighter yellow. I really enjoy neon yellows, so this one was really loved by me.
Surfin’ USA, a hot pink with orange undertone is such a Barbie pink that just sizzles!!
California Girl, a hot pink with blue undertones is another HOT HOT HOT pink! I love this one!!
Sail on Sailor, as neon as a blue can get, this bright, bright blue is JUST phenomenal!
Do you Wanna Dance? is a neon yellow-orange that reminds me a lot of Macaroni and Cheese! Such a gorgeous neon!
I Get Around is a neon lime neon. Another neon I really enjoy!
Fun Fun Fun is a fun hot purple. This is just gorgeous!
And, finally All Summer Long, a neon orange with red undertones. This one is stunning!!
Overall, I love these neons, and when I opened the box, I literally ooh-ed and aah-ed because they were so BRIGHT! These were opaque in 2 – 3 coats and they dry satin matte, but I topped them all off with a top coat so that you could see the brightness even more in the pictures. Some of them had a thicker consistency, and I’m not sure if it’s because I had the A/C running or just because they dry quickly because they are satin matte, so make sure you coat them quickly or they could clump.
What do you think of neons? Will you be adding them to your collection this Summer?
