Hello again! I know I’m lagging behind on reviews, but I’ve just been enjoying spending quality time with my family since the Holidays that I just can’t stop. Anyways, our first review post of 2015 is Lime Crime Venus, a beautiful grunge chic (yes, there is such a thing!) eyeshadow palette. I can’t get enough of this since I received it for Christmas, so let’s take a look!!
The palette is GORGEOUS – the artwork is so beautiful and glamorous, and such a wonderful addition to my palette collection! I love how it looks like a book!
And, for a closer look at all the shades:
For my look, I used Shell as the eyelid base, then added Creation to the crease and ends of eyelids. Then softly added Muse to the edges. I love this palette and the way it is grungy yet chic. It is definitely a great example of the color of the year, Marsala, as well. The shades are JUST perfect if you want to follow the trend. I paired it with MAC Verve, a marsala-ish lipstick. It pairs really well together!
I found that the palette was quite pigmented, as I didn’t use any primer whatsoever and I got terrific color pay-off. The texture is finely milled yet buttery soft. There is a bit of fall out but that can be managed with a tap of the brush. I didn’t experience any fall out on my cheeks, which would definitely be a dealbreaker!
What do you think? Does this palette make your wishlist? Also, hat is from JollyChic.
Purchased by me. All opinions are honest and my own.
