Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend! I’m so excited to share a new brand with all of you! For those of you that love lipstick, Saleha Beauty has some LUXE lipsticks with GORGEOUS packaging.
Saleha Abbasi, renowned makeup artist and entrepreneur from Chicago, created this line when she had a vision: Cruelty-free Cosmetic Line formulated with only the finest ingredients that are high performance and actually beneficial to your beauty concerns. This is when she partnered with her husband and “Saleha Beauty” was brought to life bringing glamour and luxury into everyone’s homes one lipstick at a time.
I decided to try Wild Child, a deep purple with red undertones. Are any of you even surprised that I chose a purple?! And, I will be honest. I am going to be purchasing MORE as soon as possible! I know Saleha is coming out with a neutral lipstick and I’m anticipating its launch! This lipstick has stunning gold packaging with Saleha’s name. Let’s drool over the packaging, shall we?
The lipstick has a vanilla mint scent that was subtle and reminded me of peppermint patties! Yum. If you’re not a fan of the scent, don’t worry, it is not too strong and it is super delicate on the lips. This cruelty-free lipstick did need a little pressure applied to get the perfect, even coverage. I exfoliated my lips before applying, so this did help. Even though, Saleha Beauty suggests Wild Child is a matte formula, I would say it seems to be more of a satin because it does have a little shine.
Such a staple shade for the Fall/Autumn! I am absolutely head over heels for this lipstick and the color! Saleha Beauty is definitely a luxe brand! Now, when I saw this shade, I had a hunch that it was going to be similar to MAC Strong Woman and/or MAC Heroine, so I swatched them next to each other and on the lips.
What do you think? Similarities, differences? Wild Child definitely has a deeper purple hue than MAC Strong Woman and is more red than MAC Heroine, which has a more blue undertone. Strong Woman is a little dull in comparison to Strong Woman on the lips but swatched on the arm, it is almost identical.
Another lipstick that comes to mind is MAC Pure Heroine (below), but as an amplified formula, it is glossy, but it is kind of similar to Wild Child (top) but is patchy compared to Wild Child.
Are you a purple lipstick (or any makeup item, for that matter) fiend like me?
