Makeup Pictorial How To: Contour & Highlight

Ever wondered how I contour and highlight? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Here, I will share with you step-by-step or picture-by-picture how I apply makeup, contour, and highlight.

16

So, of course, to prep, I wash my face and make sure it is completely dry before starting. Usually I start off with an SPF moisturizer.

1

Next, using IT Cosmetics Waterproof Bye Bye Under Eye® Anti-Aging Concealer, I warm it up on the back up my hand and pat it on under my eyes.

2

Then, I blend it in.

3

Next, I dab on IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream.

4

Then, blend it in. Add more as needed.

5

Now, to contour, I do my infamous fish face.

6

With a contour brush, I used Milani Matte Baked Bronzer in Sienna and filled in the hollows of my cheeks.

7

And, then traced a 3 with the bronzer/contour brush.

And, the contour is complete, like so:

9

Then, to blush, I use my blush brush and added Too Faced Sweethearts Flush Blush in Something About Berry to the apple of my cheek bones.

10

11

And, the finished blush look:

12

Then, to highlight, I used NYX Gleam. I add it on all the high points of my face, as shown:

13

And, then blend.

14

Then, I applied lipstick in MAC Thrills.

Then, added L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliner and Benefit They’re Real Mascara. And, brows were done using IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation®, Brow Power® Universal Brow Pencil.

15

And, ta-da! You have concealed, contoured and highlighted!

Does this help? Do you follow this same method to apply makeup?

  18. How do you like the IT cosmetics products? I haven’t tried anything from the line yet but I’m definitely eyeing that concealer…it looks like it blended out super creamy on the skin. You look stunning miss.

    • I absolutely adore them and incorporate at least 1 item in every makeup look I do! I really adore their CC+ Cream – as you can see – it totally covers and conceals my uneven skintone. 🙂 And, thank you, doll! <3

    • Also, the secret to applying this sticky concealer is to put a dot on the back of your hand. Rub it into the back of your hand and “warm it up” so to speak and then pat it on softly onto your undereyes and then blend. It works like a charm! <3

  19. Beautiful! I’ve been wanting to do more with my make-up and now this is definitely something I’m going to try!
