Milani Capri in a Compact LIMITED EDITION Matte Baked Bronzers Photos/Swatches/Review

Who here is absolutely ready to hit the beach/pool, sit under and umbrella with an umbrella drink and take numerous dips in the pool/beach? Me too. So ready, that in fact, I’m already there! (Or, I was actually already there – this is from Mother’s Day Weekend!) 😉

Let’s get serious, though! Summer is all about looking bronze and golden! Milani is releasing two LIMITED EDITION Matte Baked Bronzers! I absolutely love Milani’s Baked Blushes – they are rich, pigmented, and blendable! So, of course, I was really thrilled about the release of these LIMITED EDITION Matte Baked Bronzers: 07 Sienna and 08 Sunset.

They also come with a mirror and brush. The brush is actually quite soft and acts well as a bronzing brush/kabuki brush, but I have a brush that I use to contour and I prefer that more, but this is great in case you forget a brush when you travel.

Sienna, the darker of the two, showed up really well on my skintone (for reference, I’m a warm medium or in MAC terms, NC35 – not sure if I go up in the Summer – will have to go in and find out!).

For this post, I did something extremely different. I took 3 different face pictures – one with a straight face, one of the full profile, and then one with a smile (which helps to see the area I contoured and why).

Face: Almay CC Cream
Highlight: MAC Perfect Topping
Lipstick: MAC Goddess of the Sea, Blush: MAC Sea Me, Hear Me
Eyeshadows: Violet Vixen, Siren
Mascara: Benefit They’re Real
Eyeliner: Jordana Black Point (waterline), Jade Jewel (outer lower waterline), Purple Fix (inner lower waterline)

And, next we have Sunset, the softer of the two. I love this shade for when I want to bronze my cheeks without being too bronzed. I love the fact that these bronzers are multi-purpose and can be used on the eye lids, as well. This is a great way to use your bronzer if it is not the right color for you!

And, then finally an arm swatch, so you can compare (this is on my inner arm, so keep in mind it is lighter than my face, but not by much!

What do you think? Will you be a sexy bronze goddess this Summer?!

  1. Simply gorgeous. Everything Milani is coming out with has been looking PHENOMENAL! I am OBSESSED and need NOW!!! Great post girl!!

  2. I think they should make these matte bronzers part of the permanent lineup because they’re that good. Sunset works better on me, but I used Sienna yesterday for contouring and I loved it too. And I never was a bronzer fan before I tried these babies!

  3. These are so pretty; love the packaging. And they look lovely on you.
