I use a hair dryer year-round because I’ve noticed if I leave my hair damp, I usually go to bed with a headache (no matter what time I took a shower). And, so, I have to use a hair dryer. Flat Iron Experts asked me if I’d like to try one of their new hair dryers, and of course, I said yes! I am all about making sure my hair is healthy and this one also came with diffusers.
Let’s take a look at the hair dryer I was sent to review.
“Avanti Ultra PROION Ionic hairdryer is equipped with a built-in ion generator that emits millions of negative ions, sealing cuticles and protecting the hair from damage. Professional long life AC motor with 1875 Watts means it so so hot and powerful your hair will be dry in less time.”

It’s a beautiful model and it’s easy to hold and not at all too heavy to dry your hair. I had never tried the Avanti brand, so I was definitely looking forward to trying it out.
Here are the settings available with the hair dryer.
The cool blast, of course, usually available with all hair dryers is easy to find because of the snowflake button. So cute.
The buttons are pretty much self-explanatory – you can increase the speed and heat.
The ion switch is supposed to be used to pull moisture from your hair and make it shiny! I tried both settings, but I’m not sure if I saw any difference. Will have to try it out again!
And, here were the diffusers that I received along with the hair dryer. This one seems to give you more of a direct dry, if used.
And, then there was this diffuser. This diffuser’s long fingers are used to separate and dry each curl without creating frizz. This is also supposed to fit virtually ANY hair dryer.
Overall, the hair dryer worked really well in drying my hair. It did take longer than I hoped, but my hair was completely dry! I used the first diffuser to dry my hair, and it did a great job directly getting my hair drier. The long-fingered diffuser did keep my curls in tact, and for that, I was grateful because I always end up with frizzy curls. I would definitely recommend this hair dryer/diffusers to my fellow curlies! 🙂
