Milani New Products (Partial Collection) 2014: Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss, Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Gloss Stain, Lip Intense Liquid Color, and Anti-Feathering Transparent Lipliner Photos/Swatches/Review

Again, a LONG title – I just want you to know what you’re getting yourself into when you click on this link. *Wink Wink* This will be a very heavy post, but I hope you get a gist of exactly what the new products are and are like!

Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss – I received 5 to share with you all. These are sheer yet add a good amount of color to your lips.

(L-R: Mai Tai {shimmer}, Luminous {frost}, Pink Grapefruit {cream}, Coral Crush {cream}, and Nude Touch {shimmer})

These lipglosses had a rectangular shaped applicator with rounded edges to smooth out any coloring outside the lines. Shown here is the applicator for Luminous. The scent of these was a little plastic/chemical. I was surprised because I had never tried a Milani Lip Gloss, but since their lipsticks smell like watermelon, I kind of expected something similar.

Mai Tai actually put me into the mood for a Mai Tai with an umbrella, of course. It’s a nice tropical wash of color onto the lips. It gives it an almost papaya/guava hue.

Luminous was just that. It gives a nice, soft glittery effect that is not very showy. It gives a little splash of sparkle and moisturizes your lips. My lips are a bit darker in pigmentation so the color didn’t show too well.

Sweet Grapefruit. Yum, I love pink grapefruit, and the shade of this is just that. A delicate wash of pink onto the lips to give it a little femininity.

Coral Crush again made me yearn for warmer weather. This color is effortless for a Tropics-bound look without going overboard. This is a great way to try orange if you’re afraid of the shade.

Nude Touch is another shimmery shade that just lights your lips up with sparkle. This is a phenomenal Lip Gloss to keep in your purse at all times.

Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Gloss Stain. These were some lip products I was really anxious for! These have a plastic/chemical scent/taste, as well, but the color payoff is pretty good and it definitely stains your lips.

These are really neat – they have a brush, you twist and colors “oozes” out. You have to be careful, but I did notice that you have to twist at least 5 times initially to get color out and then you’re good to go. Then, you can twist accordingly – a slight twist for a dash of color or a full twist for a lot. Here’s what a lot looks like:

If you apply from the middle of your lips and spread to the outer corners, this will fill your entire lips. You may need to do another layer (as I did) for opacity.

Pink Lemonade is a coral pink that just shouts summer and margaritas, to me. I’m loving this shade!

Macaroon. I’ve never had one, but they look so fluffy and delightful! This mauve pink was a bit difficult to work with. It was a little streaky, and I tried to apply two coats, but it didn’t do much good. If it doesn’t bother you, it’s a very pretty shade.

Mango Tango is an orange with a dash of pink. It’s definitely another shade ready for Spring/Summer!

Lip Intense Liquid Color is a liquid lipstick! I must have all of these! They are SO pretty and creamy to apply. Opacity was pretty outstanding, as well. I thought the packaging of this was cute and unique! So, I’m going to quickly share how you get the applicator out, in case you’re wondering!

Pink Rave is a gorgeous fuchsia pink that dries off to a satin matte. This color is a tad brighter than what you see here. It’s almost neon! This one smelled kind of like vanilla cupcakes.

Fiery Coral is a bright blue-toned pink satin matte. Very Barbie-esque. This one smelled a little fruity.

Anti-Feathering Transparent Lipliner is a lipliner that can prime the entire surface of the lip and outside your lip lines if you are susceptible to feathering color and to keep your color on. I didn’t take a picture of this on, but I did use it with most of these so you could see how well it kept the color in the lines.

All of these lip colors have me craving Spring/Summer. All the bright colors! Goodness. You can find these Milani products at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart (and the website if you don’t have one of these near you!). Follow the links below for more information.
