Phew, now that we have FINALLY read that title – let’s move on to these wonderful NEW products Maybelline has put out! I grabbed these 2 different visits. Anyways, I’ve been on the hunt for purple blushes – yep, the obsession has moved on, can you tell?! Also, even though I don’t have that many visible pores (except some on my cheeks and nose), I really wanted to try the Baby Skin Pore Eraser (I guess you can say it was all for the sake of YOU!) So, shall we get to the products, pictures, and swatches? (All makeup looks have the Baby Skin as primer)
Let’s start with my thoughts on the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. This clear gel is, to me, more of a primer than a pore eraser, but I cannot exactly state that it does not erase pores because my pores are tiny except for on my cheeks and my nose. But, I still wanted to see if it did anything about those big pores.
Now, if you zoom in, you will not see any difference at all. The feel of the gel is a bit heavy and greasy, but I did leave it on for an hour or so before realizing that greasy feeling was gone, but I did feel something else after I put on my makeup – it did look more smooth – I guess it laid out a smoother canvas for the makeup. The scent is extremely light and for some reason, I expected it to have the scent of after shave, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did not.
Now, let’s move on to the Master Hi-Lights and Master Glaze Blush Sticks! I’ve been looking forward to these for awhile, and have been keeping an eye on them at Walgreens/CVS. I have absolutely no idea if these are LIMITED EDITION or PERMANENT, but I do hope they are here to stay!
Starting off with the Master Hi-Lights! On the left is Deep Bronze and on the right hand is Mauve.
They come with their own brush, but you already know how I feel about that. (If you don’t – I prefer my own brushes)
Deep Bronze was PERFECT for me to contour my face, and so that is what I will show you first:
Then, I added the Mauve Hi-Light over where I had contoured with the Deep Bronze Hi-Light:
Next, we have the Master Glaze Blush Sticks – now, for me, this was great because I’ve always used lipstick to blush my cheeks to coordinate with the lipcolor, so I was really excited over these! I only grabbed the purple-ish colors because that’s what I needed most in my collection, but I’m assuming these are all similar in formulation. They are sleek and give off the right amount of glossy color.
Plums Up, a nice dirty plum color, gave me a bronzed sultry look. I paired these blushes with MAC Bad Girl Riri to play off the nude terracotta. I think I am in LOVE with this pairing!
Next, we have Make a Mauve, a soft almost-lilac hued mauve. Absolutely lovely and will be a necessity in the Spring/Summer. I overdid it purposely to show off the color.
These products are definitely wonderful for drugstore products – affordable and great quality! Will you be picking any up?
Here’s a little recap of the blushes:
