I was SO impressed with the November Wantable Makeup Box that when I was given the opportunity to try out the January one (curated by the ONE, the ONLY Jess from Love for Lacquer) you bet your SWEETNESS, I said YES!!!! I really loved my November box, and have been using everything from it regularly, so this was a no brainer plus Jess has GREAT taste, so you know everything has to be good in this box.
Here is how my slip looked so you can see exactly why I was sent what I was sent:
I decided to opt out of nail polish and lash products because those are items I’ve got plenty of, and I really wanted more of the other stuff, so I’m really glad I chose what I did.
Here’s what I DID get:
The grand total was: $73. Not bad!
First item on the list is the Lise Watier Ombre Souffle Supreme Sample. I did not swatch these, but they are intriguing!
The Sorme Lip Liner 22 in Pure Rose was an absolute delight for me – I needed a matte pink lip liner for the MAC Mehr I got as a Christmas present from my brother, and this was a true match! Identical!
Starlooks is one of the subscription boxes I get monthly, so I was excited to get yet another Starlooks product. Starlooks Single Shadow Compact in Wine. I, personally, used this as a blush (as you will see in the entire look later). Since it wasn’t meant to be a blush, I did a WHOLE LOT of blending to get it to look good.
And, swatches for the lip liner and eyeshadow:
Manna Kadar Sheer Glow Highlighter is a product I am IN LOVE with – this sheer goodness looks amazing mixed with foundation or later layered over foundation. I layered this over my CC Cream (which is what I use for foundation) and it was so lovely! Adds a nice subtle shimmer to give you an extra glow. I also won one from Birchbox, so you know I won’t be pausing to think twice on this product!
Michael Marcus Prime Foundation Brush – sighs – I love my makeup brushes, so when I get them in a subscription box, I actually am really excited! So, this one is superb – super soft and holds onto product really well and prevents fall out. I love, love, love this brush! I used it to apply the eyeshadow as blush, and it did a FANTASTIC job applying AND blending, didn’t it?!
And, ta-da! This is what I came up with – all the products put into use!
This makeup subscription box always gets me. Never have I had a subscription box (WITH a profile) understand me and give me exactly what I want – it’s like they can see what I actually wear MOST. If you want to sign up, follow the links below:
