Last year, we saw EMERALD as the color of the year, but I noticed that mostly oranges and blues were visible, but this year, it’s going to be different, in my opinion. Radiant Orchid – a soft purple has made it as color of the year. Now, this color is pretty wearable for most skintones, and I have a few lipstick choices for those who enjoy rocking the color of the year!

MAC Up the Amp is a GORGEOUS soft purple! This is permanent (actually all of these are!), so don’t go rushing to your nearest counter, but do put it at your to-get list because this color is the epitome of Radiant Orchid, and its amplified formula makes it just perfection! (No bullet photos – just straight up face!)

Next, we have my favorite drugstore brand Black Radiance (cost? $1.99!) African Violet – this one has a good amount of pink in it, as well, so if you’re afraid of purple, this is a great starter! And, the shade gives a great plump illusion!

Looking for sparkle? The next two have ample amounts! Here’s Milani Violet Volt – you can find this at your nearest drugstore! Perfect ooh-la-la shade!

Daring to go softer? Try NYX Castle – shimmery radiant orchid/lavender. Perfection!

And, last but not least, if you aren’t into lipsticks and want a lipgloss. Try the Maybelline Color Elixir in Vision in Violet. You’ll get a good amount of color and your lips will feel moisturized, as well!
