You may remember my review on African Violet & Plum Orchid, the purples of the Urban Flowers Collection (Hibiscus was also included in this review). Here is the rest of the collection! At $1.99, I figured I’d pick up the entire collection of lipsticks! Not bad at all, huh?! I really went out of my comfort zone on these, but I must say I learned a lot more about my lipstick style and have started reaching for colors I thought were unlikely for my skintone! So, let’s set out on an adventure and stop and smell the Urban Flowers! 🙂
Let’s start with Tiger Lily, a brown with red undertones (or if you’d like you can just call it rust!) – Mama Mia is this all the Drama! Gorg! I think this would suit any skintone and makes anyone feel dramatic and just classic. Brown is an understated color but it sure does look chic – sure would rock this in the Autumn/Fall Season!
Pink Dahlia is a pepto pink, which I didn’t think would suit my skintone but it did in fact surprise me! I actually LIKE this pink on me! It was fun and definitely something worth trying!
And, Pale Rose – my favorite of the 3 – a mauve pink, and definitely SO glam that I wore it for the remainder of the day after swatching. I am in love with this color – tres chic!
Now, let’s talk about these! The bullets are very soft and pigmented, so only pull out as much (and use a light hand) as you need to apply otherwise they can break and get all smashed. I have already gotten many a nick on these and so sad about it, but that’s just how soft these darlings are. To see how pigmented they are, take a look at the arm swatch – this is ONE swipe, not even going over it again! Amazing!!
If you are just getting into lipstick, I would take a look at these because for $1.99 and the pigmentation and different lovely colors, they are definitely worth giving a try! I highly recommend these! I can’t wait to get more of these beauties!
