So, as I mentioned in the swatches/review of Riri Woo, the anticipation and the waiting room experience for Riri Boy and Heaux was quite tedious yet rewarding! I was put on backorder after waiting 2 hours, but I did happen to get them early, so I won’t complain much! They are gorgeous colors, so I figured I’d roll my 4th of July look and the swatches/review into one post! Are you ready for this?
Two words: SO GLAD. I am definitely not regretting this purchase one bit! They are so much more different than Up the Amp and Rebel (which will be in my hands SOON – my MIL bought it for me and she’s coming next month! YAY!!! <3) – and the Retro Matte finish is ALL that and MORE. I need MORE in this finish – especially pinks and nudes. Bring it on, MAC!
So, let’s start with Heaux – a berry red retro matte – this texture is much like Riri Woo. It leaves a brilliant berry stain after wear. It’s absolutely stunning and I will definitely be wearing this a lot and need back-ups like STAT!
Just like Riri Woo, the bullet is adorned with her signature.
Riri Boy is a gorgeous deep lavender lippy that was a little hard to apply, but the color is so worth it that I will do so over and over again! Gorg! I may need back ups of this one, too! I really loved the color; however, it is much more drying than Riri Woo and Heaux. Not sure why, but if you wear a lip balm underneath, it should not be too bad!
And, then on the arm, you can kind of see the texture of the lipsticks. Just remember that lip balm underneath, and you shouldn’t have too much of a problem!
And, if you didn’t notice my eyeshadow, it’s all PATRIOTIC for the birth of my country! Happy Birthday, America! <3
The red is from Aboni Cosmetics and it’s called Wine.
The white eyeliner is from Starlooks, and the blue and gold is from a Jasmine La Belle palette from Ulta.
Will you be dressing up for the 4th? And, will you be grabbing Heaux and Riri Boy when they come out again? I know I will be getting back-ups!
Have a Happy 4th! Stay safe!
