Pomegranate Lacquers Royal Brat + Storm the Castle Swatches/Review

Pomegranate Nail Lacquers are back with NEW bottles AND a new LOVELY collection, the Royal Fairy Tale collection. Since I am always head over heels for jellies, I got Royal Brat, a lime green jelly and Storm the Castle, a dark, deep teal jelly.

Royal Brat is a beautiful lime green jelly with a perfect formula. I did 3 coats for opacity. Jellies can always be built up to opacity or you can keep it sheer, etc. and of course, make jelly sandwiches by doing 1 or 2 coats of a jelly, a coat or two of a glitter of your choice, and then top with a coat of jelly. I didn’t do it with either of these because I wanted to show you swatches.

TEAL ALERT!!!!!

Here we have Storm the Castle, a dark and deep teal, and can I say OH MY HOW GORGEOUS! It was an interesting jelly because in 2 coats it looked patchy yet opaque. I did another coat and it looked so full of depth. I am madly in love with this. It is just so stunning! I was surprised that it wasn’t AS jellyish as I had expected.

Oh, also, let me give my 2 cents about the bottle shape. I found it to be sweet and cute but it reminded me HEAVILY of Milani’s bottles. I wasn’t too fond of the gold caps, and I was a little bummed that my Pomegranate bottles don’t look the same and my OCD really kicks in there and I like to keep like bottles next to each other, so they ended up next to my Milanis.
