Lippies and Eyeliners and Eyeshadows? Oh my! This is going to be a hefty post, so bear with me. I assure you there’s going to be a LOT of pictures to look at!
Let’s start with the lippies, shall we?
Color Whisper Who Wore it Red-der?
Maybelline has come out with a lip gloss/stain/sheer color that is described as “Truly translucent gel-color with pure color pigments suspended in a weightless gel.” As soon as I put this on my lips, they felt moisturized and they gave off a nice color! I was pretty impressed, and now am coveting quite a few of these shades.
The packaging is so sweet! I absolutely loved the color and the font, BUT… I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t see the shade of the Whispers. I am guilty of going to Walgreens and opening up each one just to look inside, and I’m not really comfortable with that at all, so maybe if the top was transparent, that would have been great!
Upon opening, I was definitely LOVING the packaging. For the affordable price, it definitely looks high-end! And, here is a closeup of the applicator. I love that it glides on perfectly.
And, finally, here’s how it looked on me! I loved this, and will definitely wear this when I want toned down red lips.
Color Sensational Vivid Neon Red
I absolutely adore vivid lipsticks – I especially love bright oranges, reds, pinks, and neons, so I was definitely excited about this lipstick, and am eyeing a few others in the series. I was REALLY happy with how this looked on me and the wear was FABULOUS. I ate Indian food and I still had the lipstick on. In fact, in the evening, when I went shopping, a lady in line complimented my lipstick. That was after more than 4 hours! So, you know this wears well!
The packaging is similar to the Color Whispers, and is bright and neon orange. Again, since I cannot see the color from the outside, guiltily, I opened them to peer inside.
How cute is the bottom? I’m weird about labels, and I really love how clear and easy this is to read.
Love the curvature of the lipstick because it was easy and a breeze to apply, and looked flawless.
Master Duo Glossy Liquid Liner Glossy Teal
Liquid liner is a must for me, especially for the top lid. I like to use pencil but liquid lasts longer. Also, the felt tip makes it easy to apply without having to sharpen for every use. This liner was absolutely lovely – I like colored liner even at my age, and I feel that it dresses up your eyes without doing too much. It also had great lasting power. I wore it all day without it fading. I had to use my makeup remover to get it off completely, which is a great sign.
It’s got a great shape, so that you can get a good grip while you line your eyes with your other hand. I absolutely loved that!
As you can see it is a ballpoint liner, which makes it easy to line it to your lashline and draw a perfect line!
Here is the liner alone on my eyes. No mascara, no primer, nothing!
Looks great, doesn’t it? I love the color (duh, it’s teal. I love everything teal!!) and it makes brown eyes (and I’m sure other eye colors) pop!
Color Tattoo Metal Inked in Pink and Electric Blue
Gel eyeshadows have a better lasting power, and so I was really excited to try this. Inked in Pink is a soft frosty/metallic pink, whereas Electric Blue is just how it sounds, a beautiful metallic blue. I loved these and the wear on these were absolutely tremendous! I did however see a crease line, and that was the only complaint I have with this, but I’m sure if I apply these with a crease brush and use primer beforehand, this may make it better.
The packaging is so cute! I really love the way it looks. What you’re actually looking at is the bottom! That confused me as the bottom black piece removed and you had to turn it around to use it. This was not a dealbreaker, of course. It’s also a tad bit heavy, so they can get heavy if you pack a few of these. 😉 I think it’s worth it!
And, here’s an eye look I did with both of the Color Tattoo Metals AND the Master Duo Glossy Teal!
So, there you have it! Was that an epic post or what?! I really enjoyed doing this one! Getting to play with makeup is one of my favorite things to do!
You can find most of these just about anywhere: Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Kroger, Publix, and more!
