I have another Priti NYC collection for you! I was really impressed by these colors and especially their formulas. They were opaque in 2 – 3 coats, and they were absolutely divine on the nails.
Let’s start off with delicious caramel Comptesse de Paris (Countess of Paris), a vintage gold that I was a bit iffy about on my skintone; however, I did end up growing into it and liking how it looked on my hands. It’s pretty and elegant.
Lady Betty Balfour is a deep violet flower. Betty Balfour was also an English silent films actress, also known as “Britain’s Queen of Happiness”. I’m guessing the flower was named after her, but I didn’t find proof for this, so don’t quote me on that. This was a purple I loved, but I just couldn’t get over the frostiness and all the brush-strokes.
Next, we have an emerald (color of the year!) Gloire de Marengo “is a vigorous, self-clinging evergreen large climber with large, triangular or ovate dark green and grey-green leaves margined with creamy-white” (Cited by Royal Horticultural Society). This emerald was everything I ever wanted in a nail polish. I adore it magnificently! I drooled over the bits of emerald shimmer that made this color so deep!
Cardinal de Richelieue is a type of rose that has a mauve or purple-toned color. It is also a man who was a notified French clergyman, noble, and statesman. To me, this berry red was very divine, and when I heard Cardinal, I thought of this very color, so it couldn’t have been a better representation! This has to be my new favorite red.
