Chels sent me her latest and greatest collection based on Marie Antoinette, Save the Dauphine (what was yelled to Marie Antoinette when she arrived in Paris) and I was blown away. There are two white-based crelly glitters, a gold-based beauty with glitters, and a fun layering glitter. They are so lovely, so let’s get right to it.
Let Them Eat Cake is a phrase that was spoken by Marie Antoinette (supposedly) as she was trying to say that the peasants should have cake instead of bread and how oblivious she was to their state, as cake is obviously richer than bread. This looks just like a pretty princess cake. Yum. This is 3 coats.
Hameau is a cottage that was made for Marie Antoinette, and this is supposed to resemble the coziness of the cottage and the surrounding flowers. This indeed looks like flowers. 3 coats shown below.
The Diamond Necklace Affair was an incident where blame was placed on Marie Antoinette by crown jewelers. I layered this twice on itself, and it looks SO PRETTY.
Here it is over Revlon Royal (perfect name and color to put under it, isn’t it?).
Last but not least, Louis Louis, named for King Louis XVI of France looks antique and wealthy with golds, reds, and blues. I love how pretty this is! This is 2 coats.
