As many of you fellow crazy nail polish lovers know, Ulta (my FAVORITE store, as well as Sephora) is having a 21 days of Beauty Events & Steals: View the Calendar HERE (This will be until next Saturday, September 22)! Of course, when I saw the ad, my eye(s) went straight to the picture of the butter Londons, and my jaw dropped. I had to go for this deal! It would be crazy if I did not!
When I got to the store in the evening, the store was bare. This was expected, of course. There are SO many of us nail polish lovers, and especially when a prestige cosmetic goes on BOGO (Buy 1 Get 1 FREE), then definitely!
No More Waity, Katie (was available March 1, 2011) was the first one I grabbed, had second thoughts, but just when I was about to put it down, my Hubs said, “Nah, actually that one looks pretty cool!” So, of course, I had to get it! Of course, we all know that this refers to Kate Middleton as this polish came out around the time of her wedding to Prince William. It’s a gray-purple jelly with lilac/lavender glitters tossed in. Super unusual but very pretty and elegant! This is 3 coats.
Dosh (Spring/Summer 2011) is a bright lime green with cool silver shimmer running throughout. It’s pretty special, if I say so myself. I love greens and blues, and this is no exception! It’s super fun and lovely! Dosh is the British slang for money, so this works perfectly for this color! I love the shimmer that runs through it! This is 3 coats.
Tart with a Heart (Holidays 2011) is such a cheeky name, in my opinion. It’s the most perfect gold with holographic glitters. I’ve been looking for a gold holographic glitter for such a long time that this satisfies that. This pretty much means a promiscuous (in nice words) woman with a heart of gold. Go figure with the gold glitter! 😉 This pretty much became opaque in 3 coats, but I’d love to see this over an array of colors! Gorg!
Victoriana (came out in Autumn 2010) is the last of my haul. This one reminded me A LOT of OPI I Have a Herring Problem/I Don’t Give a Rotterdam and Zoya Skylar, but I’ve heard that they are not even the slightest of dupes, but I will try to do a comparison post on Herring Problem and Victoriana one of these days! It’s a gorgeous denim blue with a teal tint and silver shimmer running about. Love this combination. It does look matte because of the silver shimmer, but it is most definitely not. And, also, it DOES look like denim so pair it up with those cute denim shorts!! This was 2 coats – it’s quite opaque! Oh, and I also assume this polish refers to the Victorian Era.
Ahh, deliciousness that is butter London!! 🙂
There’s a new site that is coming up on September 17 (day before my birthday!!) called Coterie.com and by signing up, you will get $25 credit to use on their many beauty products. I know for sure they will have butter Londons because I grabbed a few! So, take advantage of this INVITE-ONLY site because I don’t know how long they will be giving out $25 credit for! Also, unfortunately for some of you, this is US ONLY, but rumor is that they will be expanding, so just wait it out!! They are brand new!
