This nail polish is really close to my heart because it was given to me (for my FIRST) Mother’s Day (along with other Deborah Lippmanns) and it’s simply gorgeous! I absolutely love mermaids and everything mermaid-related. (All these photos were taken the morning after applying, just for your kind information!)

 

I heard from a lot of people that Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream chips a lot, and I had no problem of the sort. I used Dazzle Dry as my base and top coat (as I do now religiously) and faced no such problems. I used 3 coats and it was spectacular. You can’t imagine HOW MUCH I looked at my nails! I used 2 coats of Dazzle Dry top coat and it lasted about a week! Chips were rare and only there when my nails had rough contact. Also, the top coat took care of the grittiness – not much was left, and to be honest, that grittiness wouldn’t have been a deal breaker! I mean, look at this:

 How stunning! I cannot stop raving about it! If you don’t have this one, this is a must! Thank you to my fabulous husband and sweet son for adding such a beauty to my collection!
