Friday Guest Blogger: Peace Love Lacquer

I’ve recently decided to have guest bloggers on Friday for a fun, refreshing new outlook on nail polishes! I think it’s a beautiful (and colorful) way to show how *TIGHT* the nail polish and cosmetic blogging community really is!

Today, I have Kelly Lynn Green from Peace Love Lacquer. I asked her a (rainbow) array of questions and  here was our exciting Q&A! Enjoy!! 🙂

Q: How did you get started in beauty blogging?

A: I had been stalking all the wonderful bloggers for a looooong time. I was doing a lot of nail art and kept hearing from all my friends, family and co-workers that they would never be able to do any art on their nails. I decided that it was high time I start a blog in hopes to show people that it really isn’t that hard… anyone can use a dotting tool 😉

Q: What has been your MOST favorite thing to review? Least favorite?

A: Any and all nail polish! Hahaha… I really don’t discriminate against polish… But I guess my absolute favorite would be indie polishes, because I am never disappointed!! My least favorite would probably be cream polishes. While they may be beautiful, I am a shimmer and glitter girl through and through!

Q: Tell us something about yourself that no one knows!

A: Interesting factoid: My great, great, great uncle was John Sullivan. The last, reigning Heavyweight Bare-Knuckle Boxing Champ of the World. They drank a lot of whiskey to make it through matches!

Q: What’s your favorite movie? If you could use something from your favorite movie to name a polish what would it be? (Ex. “Blueeee, you’re my boy!” from Old      School. Obviously that’s my favorite movie! 🙂 )

A: Favorite movie of all time: Monty Python and the Holy Grail. There are already nail polishes after that movie created by NerdLacquer (Holy Grail and It Is Just a Flesh Wound, to be specific), and I would have said the flesh wound because the Black Knight is my favorite part of the movie… But since it’s taken, I guess it would have to be “She Turned My in to a Newt” or “Holy Hand-Grenade”

Q: What is your favorite color? Do you see yourself hoarding that nail color a lot?

A: I have a love for hot pink… but strange enough; I don’t have an unusually large amount in my collection. I tend to pick-up greens and blues before anything. Sometimes I have to tell myself to put them down and pick a different color! Lol!

Q: What is your least favorite color? Do you still wear it on your nails?

A: Brown… blech… I don’t have a single brown or neutral polish in my collection. I know I need to get some for nail art, but I just can’t bring myself to buy them!!!

Q: What is one cosmetic you cannot live without besides nail polish?

A: Mascara. As long as I have polish and mascara, I can survive the zombie apocalypse (OK… and maybe my husband’s hunting rifle with the scope. Since I’m a better shot, I should have the good gun! Ahaha)

Q: If you could name a nail polish ANYTHING in the world… what would it be? Why?

A: I suck at coming up with polish names… so I’m going to do another movie!! “We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat” LMAO! Jaws is quite possibly the cheesiest movie of all time; AND I LOVE IT! Ha! Everyone knows this iconic line, even my hubby who hates the movie! :p

Q: How many nail polishes do you have in your collection?

A: I have a fairly small collection…. only 105. But, I know as soon as my hubby finds a job, it’s going to EXPLODE! I’ve already prepared him to build me more shelves 😉

Q: Which nail polish is your all-time FAVORITE and please share a swatch of it!

A: This one shouldn’t be a shocker! LOL… NerdLacquer Holy Grail! It is an amazing dusty blue, with all sorts of shimmer and glitter. It is the perfect polish. I cannot find anything to top it!! (And I’ve been trying!)

Wow, that’s definitely a stunner! I *NEED* Holy Grail in my life! Thanks for guest blogging today, Peace Love Lacquer! Don’t forget to check her out at www.peacelovelacquer.blogspot.com – I’m sure you’ll want to check out all that nail art and lovely indies! 🙂

Happy Friday, everyone! 🙂
