My son is 6 months today! 🙂 Happy 1/2 Birthday to my Lil’ Love. 🙂

I love Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears because they go on really smoothly with a decent brush to boot. The polishes do take 3 coats, but they match the bottle color quite nicely. Celeb City is a beautiful silver metallic foil. I had a safari-themed baby shower for my son, so I went with a snow leopard-esque outfit and wanted nails to match, so I did Celeb City with a coat of OPI Black Shatter over it. It looked fantastic with the outfit and I got many compliments on it. I even wore a leopard print shirt for my Maternity shoot, and I went with the same manicure because it went perfectly.

The OPI Black Shatter came out with the Katy Perry Collection in January 2011. I got it much later when I was a little intrigued by it. I liked it ONLY with Celeb City. The only thing I do NOT like about the Black Shatter is that it was thick. And, it just had the worst formula EVER. The brush is fine. When I coated my nail with it the first time, I was freaked out when I saw a big glob of black rubber over the beautiful silver foil manicure. But, it started to finally take shape and I saw it split like an earthquake. It dried matte, but when I put a top coat over it, it was glossy and actually, I liked it much more this way. I’ve tried it over different colors, and I must say it is only striking when it’s over a metallic foil of light color.

Here’s 2 pictures from my maternity shoot. Hard to believe that was a little over 7 months ago!!

Taken by Megan Barge.

My current favorite/want/need: I absolutely *NEED* this blush – the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in *ANY* color!! I feel like this is going to be a great texture – neither too powdery nor too creamy, but I will get some soon, and I will let you know what I think about it! 🙂 (The picture shows it in Fresh Pink)
