Crispy Pan-fried Orange Teriyaki Tofu.


Mmm.. Who doesn’t like crispy tofu? This recipe was super duper easy, and it was a winner in my book, for sure.

Ingredients for the Marinade:
1/4 cup of orange juice
1/4 cup of soy sauce
Salt & Pepper
1 tsp or more (according to how much spice you can handle) of Sriracha (Also optional)
Thawed tofu (Once again, the reason for this is because tofu has a better texture after it has been frozen!)

Ingredients for crust of tofu:
Gram flour a.k.a. Chickpea flour/Whole wheat flour/All-purpose flour (All works great… I used Gram flour)
Salt & Pepper
Orange Zest

Mix the marinade together in a shallow bowl and in a separate shallow bowl, mix up the flour. Cut tofu into 1/2 inch slices, squeeze excess water,  and place in marinade for 1 hour. Heat oil in a sautee pan on medium-low, dredge the tofu in the flour mixture and place gently in the heated oil. Turn once golden brown and sautee the other side.

Serve with noodles or fried rice.
