Today, I was so in the mood for Baked Spaghetti, and I know Olive Garden doesn’t cut it for me anymore! I’d rather work over said “hot stove” and savor the goods and the “fruits of my labor”!
This baked spaghetti was made with 100% whole wheat pasta, tomato sauce, and a good blend of cheeses. You can feel free to tweak the recipe as per your tastes!
Box of Whole Wheat Thin Spaghetti
1 Pat of Butter
1 Tbsp of Garlic
1 Tbsp of Italian Seasonings
1 Bottle of Spaghetti Sauce of your Choice
Cheese of your Choice
Red Onions (Optional)
Boil pasta as per directions of the box, and in a separate pan or after draining the pasta (use the same pan) and put down the butter and garlic and allow it to cook well together. After that, add the onions and allow to become translucent. If not using the onions, skip and add the Italian Seasonings. You could also add Red Pepper Flakes if you are looking for a spicy flavor. Once done, add the bottle of Spaghetti Sauce and allow it to simmer on low heat. In a casserole dish, put some of the cooked spaghetti and stir the sauce into it allowing it to be completely covered. Add the rest of the sauce on the top and add cheese. Bake for 15 minutes for 350* or until the cheese has browned a little or bubbled up. Serve with some parmesan cheese and a slice of Garlic Bread and ENJOY! 😀
