When looking for #EOTD inspiration, I frequently find that I have countless options of warm tones – golds, yellows, and such. I, however, love cool tones, such as silver, gray, and cooler blues and greens, so when I saw the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic palette, I needed it so! It’s ridiculously gorgeous, and if you don’t have enough warm tones, she has options in her “vault”. I picked up one other palette, which I will feature in the near (or far) future. Let’s take a closer look at Dark Magic.
1st row top to bottom: Poof, Power Cut, Shhh, Trickery, Diversion
2nd row top to bottom: Potion, Busted, Inside Job, Mojo, Temptress
#EOTD is created by using Shhh all over the lid, Diversion on the outer lid framed by Temptress. Power Cut used inner lid to the center.
These shadows are gorgeous, but they are a little difficult to work with. The swatches you see above were many layers to get the colors to show up, but yes, a brush does work better. I did find these eyeshadows to be a bit patchy. To make them work better, a primer on the eyes, and a damp brush can help. There is LOTS of fall out with these, but as long as you do your face makeup afterwards, this should not be an issue. I have used this palette over 5 times already, so it is definitely one of my favorite color stories. This palette is $15, so it is not breaking the bank, so if you don’t have anything like it, grab one.
