Finding the right foundation is a difficult task. We all have different levels of hues in our skin tone and our undertones are also just as diverse. That’s what makes us beautiful, though! But, finding the right foundation to cover a blemish can be downright healing and boosting! Like, for example, I had a random pimple pop up at the top of my nose, and it left a small blemish that I wasn’t too excited about, but that’s what foundation is for, right? And, if not for that reason, it’s a great way to give your skin a one-tone uniformed look. I have found a lot of different foundations that are perfect for my skin – feel-wise and look-wise, so I thought trying the Wet N Wild Beauty Photo Focus Foundation would be something I’d like to try to give a feel for the texture and how it looks on me. So, are you ready to find out my thoughts?

First of all, for reference, I have been matched by 3 DIFFERENT MAC Cosmetics as NC35, and my skintone doesn’t change too much during the seasonal changes, so I know that is pretty accurate. Jouer Cosmetics Matte Moisture Tint in Hazel is one of my favorite beauty balms because it’s sheer and looks like my skin. In Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation SPF15, I match in Tan Honey. So, based on this, I decided to choose Golden Beige as my color in Wet N Wild Beauty Photo Focus Foundation. For the price, I was really impressed! I haven’t found a foundation that price EVER, so I was really excited to try it out.

When you open it, it has an interesting spatula attached to it. I decided to try to use it to “spot treatment” my face, and then blend.

After I compared my before and after, I realized this may have been a little too much on the cooler (and grey) side for my skintone. I did also feel that it was a little on the drier side, and even though I had used toner, exfoliating lotion, AND moisturizer, my skin was left parched. This meant that this would look a little patchy on my skin. My skin could be on the drier side because of winter, but I may have to try another shade because I felt this one gave me a little cool-toned look.

What do you think? Have you tried it? If you’re my skintone, which one matched you best?

Purchased by me. All opinions are honest and my own.
