As you probably have already been seeing, the trend these days is PUMPKIN SPICE. Not only for your lattes, but for clothes and makeup, as well! I’m all for pumpkin spice, and I do love to sprinkle it on breakfast items, but I also LOVE the pumpkin spice shades of terracotta and burnt orange.
- Calypso (formerly known as Gypsy) Ultra Satin Lip
- Mama Ultra Matte Lip
- Love Bug Ultra Matte Lip (this was also a freebie during the first Fall Edit launch)
First thing I want to mention is that I purchased the Love Bug seen here because the Love Bug I received as a freebie was thick and drying (like Rooch). I wore it on my birthday on Sunday, and it was incredibly heavy to wear. My lips were moisturized and exfoliated, but the feeling of it was like covering my lips in paper mache. In fact, after I removed it, my lips peeled like crazy! The one I purchased, however, is completely opposite of that. I’m not sure if there was a quick formula change or it was coincidence, but I do prefer the one I purchased 100% better. It feels like the Ultra Matte Lip usually does – light and comfortable. Gypsy is an Ultra Satin Lip, so it does transfer, but the lasting quality is like the Ultra Satin Lips and is fantastic. I also love how the formula feels on the lips. Mama (I always think of Mamaaa… Oooo ooo! from Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen) is comfortable and the color I’ve been dreaming of ColourPop to create, so I’m a happy camper! Finally, a burnt orange that is affordable!
Along with the lipsticks, there is also a blush and an eyeshadow quad. Starting with the blush, Bardot is a rust colored blush that gives off a beautiful Autumn/Winter flush to the cheeks!
Zingara is the eyeshadow Quad, but the eyeshadows are also available to purchase separately. I believe the quad is also $2 cheaper, so it’s a pretty good deal, and plus all the colors go excellently together!
Top to Bottom: Seeker, Paradox, Elixir, Jinxie
My eye look was created with Elixir on the eyelid, Jinxie in the inner corner to almost mid-eyelid, and then Paradox and Seeker in the crease. On the waterline is Best O. Bardot is also on the cheeks. First image is Mama on the lips, and second image is Love Bug.
The blush, Bardot, is incredibly pigmented and also quite blendable. The eyeshadow quad is one of my favorites because it is versatile, blendable, and just plain beautiful! My favorite eyeshadow from the quad is Elixir because it’s a lovely pumpkin orange color. I love Seeker plainly for the name because it reminds me of Harry Potter.
