Gleam by Melanie Mills Lip Radiance Up Against the Wall Swatches and Review

As much as I love liquid lipsticks, I do love me some lipglosses. And, when it comes to shades, this year has been all about Marsala, the Pantone Color of the Year for 2015. That trend has really touched me, as the shade is becoming and beautiful for all skintones. Gleam by Melanie Mills sent over their TREND SETTING Marsala shade in Up Against the Wall, and I fell in love at first application. (Also, see here for the review on Gleam by Melanie Mills Light Gold Body Radiance)

Call me strange, but I loooove the packaging of boxes with peekaboos showing the product inside. It’s like a tease for makeup lovers/junkies, I guess. Haha.

The packaging of the lipgloss itself is gorgeous and glam. It is somewhat heavy, but not by too much. When I opened the lipgloss, I half expected it to be like a regular lipgloss formula, but it was actually thick and almost mousse-like, so this really intrigued me. See how the formula doesn’t drip?

Infused with natural botanicals, Lip Radiance is a highly-pigmented, lasting gloss that improves lip texture and adds couture color.
  • The ultimate blend of natural ingredients including Vitamin E, jojoba oil and aloe vera
  • Long wearing, moisture rich, highly pigmented, not sticky, anti feathering
  • Gorgeous couture colors to enhance & compliment all skin tones and women of all ages.

This is the formula of lipgloss I adore because not only is it easy to apply because it’s like applying a liquid lipstick, it does not bleed and is super moisturizing and the pigmentation is A+! These also tend to last a longer time.

When I looked through the peekaboo, I thought the lipgloss was a rusty orange, and it does transfer onto the lips the same way but with a lot more red tones. It’s such a drop dead gorgeous shade!

This shade really blew me out of the water because it is a different hue of marsala, and I don’t think I own ANYTHING like this! It’s such a flattering shade, and such a perfect shade for an evening out. The last is great, definitely more so than regular lipglosses, but do expect to be touching it up just a little after having a drink or eating. It really kept my lips feeling moisturized. The scent is really sweet and not offensive, and also it is NOT sticky when you press your lips together, so you won’t get those lip press marks.
